Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and document clinical cases from the initial assessment through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations of clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health.
\n
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions, as well as group therapy interventions, fostering a safe and supportive environment for sharing and healing.
\n
• Monitor and assess clients' progress regarding their treatment plans, adjusting therapeutic approaches as necessary to optimize recovery outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure a unified treatment approach.
\n
• Maintain regular communication and follow-ups with clients, including those transitioning to or from a hospital setting, to support their continuity of care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and actively work to mitigate these challenges in partnership with clients and their support networks.
\n
• Educate and support families and primary caregivers in managing the mental health needs of their loved ones.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our Mental Health Counselor will work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals of all ages and backgrounds experiencing various mental health conditions. This role requires a commitment to cultural competency and the ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to fit the unique needs of our clients, whether they are dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or addiction issues.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
\n
• Evidence of passing scores on national examinations such as the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, such as AVATAR, to ensure efficient management of client documentation.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen ability to foster rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience in a clinical mental health counseling role, working directly with a variety of patient populations.
\n
• Comfort and familiarity with addressing underlying physical health conditions and substance use disorders.
\n
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices endorsed by organizations such as the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A deep understanding of psychopharmacology and the effects of medications prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients in a therapeutic context.

Compensation and Benefits\n
