Job Summary A Planner / Scheduler II is responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules. The role organizes, structures, and tracks tasks, resources and milestones based upon contractual data. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Accurately manage a Primavera P6 (Oracle) Project Schedule ensuring daily up-to-date revision. Effectively build and maintain organized projects to include sub-tier tasks, milestones, predecessors, and resource allocation as necessary to provide an accurate illustration of both current and future production obligations. Remain current with Oracle Project scheduling and have knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and interface with legacy Microsoft Project schedules. Provide detailed reports, charts, and schedules for daily review or when requested. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education High School and/or advanced technical schooling preferred. Formal training in the application of Project Management programs (e.g. Primavera P6 and MS Project). Experience and Knowledge Minimum of five years of experience with scheduling processes. Trade experience within the ship repair/shipyard industry, particularly machinery, preferred. General knowledge of trades associated with ship repair industry (e.g., welder, pipe fitter, outside/inside machinist, electrician). Reliable, self-disciplined and motivated. Excellent communication skills; active listening and clear direction.
