Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This rewarding contract opportunity involves serving as a resource teacher, working with students who primarily participate in the general education setting but need specialized support to maximize their success. Providing both push-in and pull-out services, you’ll collaborate with colleagues, offer targeted academic interventions, and ensure the implementation of students’ IEP goals within a supportive school community.

Key Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
• Previous experience supporting elementary students in a resource or similar special education setting
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance
• Ability to design accommodations and modifications to support grade-level curriculum
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, teachers, and families
• Capacity to foster independence and executive functioning in young learners

Responsibilities:

• Deliver small-group and individualized instruction in reading, writing, math, and executive functioning
• Support students in accessing the general education curriculum and classroom environment
• Develop and implement IEP goals through creative and engaging instructional materials and strategies
• Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and data collection
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to develop modifications and accommodations
• Build positive relationships with students and their families to support academic and social growth
