Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact by supporting students’ academic growth as a Special Education Resource Teacher on a contract basis, just outside Arlington Heights, IL. This rewarding part-time position involves working two days a week with elementary-level learners who thrive primarily in the general education setting but benefit from specialized instruction and individualized supports.

Bring your expertise to a collaborative environment, providing critical interventions, accommodations, and instructional adjustment. Guide students toward achieving their IEP goals with both push-in and pull-out models, focusing on helping them access grade-level curriculum and build essential academic and executive functioning skills.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification.
• Experience or knowledge in resource programming.
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
• Ability to deliver direct academic support and accommodations in both individual and small group settings.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, teachers, and families.
• Resourcefulness and adaptability in a part-time, school-based environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide targeted instruction and interventions aligned with students’ IEPs.
• Support grade-level curriculum access within the general education classroom via push-in services.
• Offer small group or one-on-one instruction through pull-out sessions as needed.
• Implement and track individualized IEP goals, documenting student progress.
• Collaborate with general education staff and families to ensure cohesive support plans.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse learner needs and promote student independence.
