Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher supporting a diverse group of grade 3 students through cross-categorical instructional programming. You’ll be part of a dedicated team providing specialized instruction aligned with both grade-level standards and individualized IEP goals at a vibrant elementary setting near Arlington Heights, IL. Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid special education teaching certification (required)
• Previous experience with cross-categorical or multi-needs classrooms preferred
• Strong knowledge of IEP implementation and compliance procedures
• Ability to deliver differentiated instruction tailored to a range of academic, behavioral, communication, and functional needs
• Familiarity with structured teaching, visual supports, behavioral interventions, and sensory strategies
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with aides, 1:1 support, and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver instruction that aligns with grade-level standards while targeting IEP-specific goals
• Employ evidence-based strategies, incorporating structured, visual, and sensory supports throughout the day
• Implement behavioral and social-emotional interventions to meet individual student needs
• Modify curriculum and instructional strategies to promote student engagement and progress
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and positive classroom environment
• Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and related services staff to ensure continuity in support and services
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent communication, and progress monitoring
