Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of 4th-grade students as a Special Education Teacher through a contract assignment near Arlington Heights, IL. This role focuses on cross-categorical instructional programming for students requiring a spectrum of academic, behavioral, communication, adaptive, and functional support. You’ll design lessons aligned to grade-level standards and individualized IEP goals, providing specialized instruction within a supportive classroom environment at the elementary level.

What you’ll need:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (Illinois PEL with LBS1 endorsement or eligibility)
• Previous classroom experience with diverse learners or experience working in special education settings
• Strong ability to implement a range of instructional and behavioral strategies
• Skill in adapting curriculum to meet individualized needs
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities, especially with multidisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver instruction tailored to each student’s IEP and grade-level standards
• Incorporate structured teaching methods, visual schedules, and sensory supports
• Implement behavioral and social-emotional interventions to support student success
• Collaborate daily with program aides, 1:1 support staff, and related service providers
• Foster an inclusive learning atmosphere that encourages growth and engagement
• Document student progress regularly and participate in IEP meetings
