Accounting Clerk

Our client, a leading organization in the finance sector, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting the Accounts Payable team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Location: Brentwood, NY

Pay Range: $26 - $26.44

Shift: 5 days a week

What's the Job?

• Responsible for recording and processing expenditures, receipts, and financial transactions using Microsoft Navision software.

• Create new vendor accounts and purchase orders within the ERP system.

• Ensure all purchases have proper approval and post vendor invoices accurately.

• Maintain and process recurring payables, including timely payments via checks or credit cards.

• Assist with year-end tasks such as creating and filing vendor 1099s and preparing audit schedules.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.

• 3-5 years of accounts payable experience.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• ERP system experience preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
