Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ experiences and construct personalized treatment plans.

• Implementing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to each patient’s unique trauma narrative.

• Facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions designed to support patients in processing their trauma and developing vital coping strategies.

• Collaborating with psychiatrists and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to patient care and treatment integration.

• Engaging in crisis intervention when needed, providing timely and effective support during trauma-related emergencies.

• Educating patients and their families about trauma responses and coping mechanisms, directing them toward additional resources.

• Maintaining meticulous and confidential patient records, adhering to all legal and ethical standards in documentation.

• Participating in team meetings and professional development opportunities, continually refining skills in trauma-informed care.

• Staying current with the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of your work will be on individuals who have experienced significant trauma and are in need of compassionate, tailored support. This includes individuals suffering from PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your expertise will empower patients to reclaim their lives and achieve resilience as they navigate their recovery journey.

Qualifications\n

Candidates for this role must possess:

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.
\n
• Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and an understanding of trauma-informed treatment modalities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, accompanied by a compassionate, non-judgmental approach when interacting with patients.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various computer applications.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
