Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions tailored to diverse needs, either in clients' homes or virtually, ensuring accessibility and comfort for clients.

• Support clients with coping strategies for anger management and social skills, actively focusing on reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious actions and aggression.

• Enhance decision-making skills among adolescents and their caregivers, equipping them with tools to effectively address behavioral challenges in their home environment.
\n
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team, sharing insights and strategies that contribute to holistic care.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in alignment with regulatory standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings, providing recommendations based on your observations to foster team learning and support.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele includes children and adolescents aged 3–20 with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and associated behavioral challenges. Your work will directly influence their social integration, emotional development, and overall quality of life. By understanding their unique backgrounds and needs, you will be able to tailor interventions that resonate on a personal level, helping them achieve their therapeutic goals.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, or a similar field is mandatory.

• An active, unrestricted LMFT license is required.
\n
• A commitment to working 5-10 hours weekly, primarily during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with weekend availability considered a plus.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a registered vehicle for in-home therapy sessions.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is a prerequisite.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience providing positive behavior support is highly desirable.

• Background in working with children and adolescents, specifically those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits\n
