Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry – Wisconsin

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday with weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed. 4:1 patient ratio. 24 hours of orientation provided.

• Fast-paced 25-bed neurosurgery general care unit serving both medical and surgical neuro patient populations
• Work with diverse patient diagnoses including post-surgical spine and brain cases, stroke patients, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, ALS, Guillain-Barre syndrome, and traumatic brain injury
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Magnet-designated teaching facility recognized as Wisconsin's top-ranked hospital and a Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program
• Evidence-based practice environment with collaborative team culture focused on patient and family-centered care
• Floating required as needed; local candidates (within 50 miles) not accepted

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry within the last 3 years
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass mandatory telemetry exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms, zero errors on 3rd degree heart blocks)
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
