Customer Account Specialist
Are you highly detail-oriented and enjoy working with data, systems, and processes? Our client is seeking a Customer Account Specialist to join their team in Indianapolis. This is an urgent hiring need and an excellent opportunity to join a growing organization with the potential to convert to a permanent position.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in a structured environment, enjoy solving problems, and can maintain accuracy while handling high-volume, repetitive tasks.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Location: Indianapolis, IN Work Arrangement: Onsite training, then hybrid schedule of 3 days remote and 2 days onsite Pay: $23-$25/hour Duration: Minimum 6-month contract with potential for extension and permanent hire
What You'll Do
- Enter and upload customer invoice data into electronic payment portals with a high degree of accuracy
- Review invoices and match information against customer purchase orders
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, exceptions, and rejected submissions
- Partner with internal account managers to address invoicing issues
- Monitor customer payment portals and maintain detailed records of invoice activity
- Assist customers with account setup and navigation of invoicing systems
- Support account research and reconciliation activities
- Generate reports and provide administrative support as needed
- Deliver exceptional customer service while managing a high volume of transactions
- Contribute to process improvements and special projects
What We're Looking For
- 4+ years of experience in a corporate environment
- Experience in customer service, administrative support, data entry, account support, or a similar role
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify data discrepancies
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a repetitive, process-driven environment
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
