This role involves delivering comprehensive speech-language pathology services, which encompass a variety of tasks including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, reassessment, patient reevaluation, discharge planning, and thorough documentation across multiple settings.

The Speech-Language Pathologist will also engage in program planning and protocol development as needed, contributing to the team’s efforts in achieving set objectives.

• Conduct evaluation services, which include reviewing relevant historical data, performing specific assessments, and formulating recommendations while documenting results.
• Communicate evaluation outcomes and treatment plans to patients and their families, ensuring their involvement in goal-setting.
• Exhibit expertise in executing treatment protocols based on evaluation results, patient presentation, and the dynamic healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary and document any changes in the patient’s condition that may require adjustments to the care plan or additional consultations.
• Complete discharge planning and follow-up care efficiently, ensuring accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities, including initial evaluations, daily notes, progress summaries, and discharge evaluations.
• Demonstrate effective time management skills and meet productivity standards while maintaining an organized schedule.
• Show a professional commitment to facilitating seamless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, and empathetic behavior in a patient-centered environment.
• Proactively pursue continuing education for personal and organizational growth, serving as a clinical instructor for students and assisting in the orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, and volunteers.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a clinical fellowship year (CFY).
• Licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and/or Virginia, as required for your specific location.
• Possession of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of USD $65.00 .
