This role sits right between Accounting, Operations, and Customer Service, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys working with numbers but also likes communicating with people.Billing Specialist is a particularly relevant title for North County right now—current postings include billing roles in Oceanside and San Marcos, including contract opportunities. Your day will revolve around💵 Getting invoices right Review contracts, rates, services, and supporting information before invoices go out.🔎 Finding discrepancies Research incorrect charges, missing information, credits, and customer questions.📞 Working with customers Answer billing questions and help resolve account issues professionally.📊 Keeping AR clean Track outstanding invoices and work with the collections team when balances become overdue.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and distribute customer invoicesReview billing documentation for accuracyVerify rates, quantities, services, and contract termsResearch billing discrepanciesProcess credits, adjustments, and rebillsReconcile customer accountsTrack open invoices and aging balancesCommunicate with customers regarding billing questionsPartner with Sales and Operations to resolve account issuesMaintain organized billing documentationPrepare recurring billing and AR reportsAssist with month-end close and reconciliations
