Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough preliminary assessments, documenting clients’ mental health status accurately from their first appointment through to the conclusion of treatment.

• Evaluate clients’ emotional and behavioral health, developing comprehensive treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques, ensuring each client feels heard and supported.
\n
• Monitor and assess client progress throughout the treatment journey, modifying intervention plans as necessary to align with their evolving situations.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and primary care providers to coordinate care for clients requiring additional medical support.
\n
• Work with families and primary caregivers, equipping them with strategies to manage behavioral challenges effectively and enhance their loved ones’ recovery.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in psychotherapy, integrating new practices into your work to improve client outcomes continuously.

• Manage referrals and connect clients to other specialized services within the community as needed.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients range from children to adults, presenting with diverse mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. The therapist will establish a therapeutic alliance with clients from various backgrounds, respecting individual differences while promoting healing. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between mental health services and underserved populations within the El Paso community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Current, valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.

• Successful completion and pass scores on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• A minimum of two years of experience in a mental health counseling role, providing clinical services.
\n
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR or similar platforms.

• In-depth understanding of co-occurring disorders, addiction issues, and the impact of physical health on mental well-being.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect empathetically with clients and caregivers.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a community health setting, working with diverse populations.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary of USD 80,000 – 100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
