Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their specific physical therapy needs, utilizing standardized assessment tools and clinical judgement.
• Create and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality in collaboration with the patient.
• Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretching routines, and activities aimed at promoting physical health and pain alleviation.
• Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, exercise techniques, and customized home exercise regimens to enhance recovery.
• Administer various therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and cold/heat therapy under the supervision of the PT.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation tracking progress regarding range of motion, strength improvements, and overall functional goals.
• Prepare treatment areas to ensure a clean, organized space, with equipment and supplies readily available to facilitate effective therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care effectively, enhancing overall treatment outcomes.
• Encourage patients emotionally, fostering a supportive environment to inspire them throughout their rehabilitation journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New York.
• A minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience in a clinical setting, providing direct patient care.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment, contributing to patient-centered care.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
