Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate each client's mental health conditions, history, and needs, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their unique circumstances.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address identified issues, prioritize goals, and incorporate evidence-based practices to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

• Engage clients in one-on-one counseling sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques to facilitate their emotional healing.

• Facilitate group therapy or family sessions when necessary, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and peer support.

• Monitor each client's progress, regularly reviewing and adjusting treatment plans based on their evolving needs and feedback, ensuring timely and effective interventions.

• Thoroughly document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies, using electronic medical records (EMRs) for accurate reporting.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to coordinate comprehensive care and address complex client needs.

• Commit to professional growth by participating in ongoing training sessions, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on the latest advancements in mental health treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on adults experiencing a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and various other emotional disturbances. As you work with diverse client backgrounds and experiences, your empathy and adaptability will be essential to tailoring your approach and ensuring culturally sensitive treatment.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.

• A valid state license to practice as a mental health counselor (LMHC) in New York is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n
