Location Manager – Elmhurst, IL (Chicago metro) Full‑time, Salaried. Location Operations. Reports to: Market Leader. We are opening Saltbox’s first Chicago location in Elmhurst, IL in fall 2026. This role is for a dynamic leader who will own the location’s business, people, and member experience from day one. What You Will Own Location business management: occupancy, member satisfaction, revenue targets, and budget adherence. People leadership: build and develop a high‑performing team, manage headcount, conduct performance reviews, and retain talent. Member success & sales: ensure high retention, conduct onboarding, resolve escalations, and drive revenue through member outreach. Operational planning & strategy: build systems, audit standards, resolve recurring problems, and represent the location to central teams. Tools & technology: use Saltbox’s reporting tools, Pulse, scheduling, and dashboards; ensure team adoption and stay current with system changes. How We Measure Success Location opens on schedule with a prepared, trained team. Occupancy meets or exceeds targets after opening. Member retention meets or exceeds target; churn risk is identified early. Revenue and budget stay within plan, with controlled labor and supply spend. Weekly performance reviews occur on cadence; issues rise to Market Leader promptly. Operational‑standard audits are passed; the lead can maintain standards without the Location Manager present. What You Bring Proficiency with AI tools applied to daily management, performance reviews, member escalations, and team adoption. 3+ years managing a physical location or operations environment. Business ownership mindset with a focus on outcomes and metrics. Strong people‑development skills. Excellent member and customer relationship skills. Clear, direct communication style. Operational instincts: pattern recognition, root‑cause analysis, and system‑level solutions. Comfortable with basic financial concepts related to occupancy, labor cost, and margin. Familiar with tools such as Slack, Rippling, Pulse, and other operational reporting platforms, and open to new tools.
