Responsibilities Assist the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food service. Oversee food handling procedures to maintain strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. Lead food preparation efforts, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control. Manage inventory levels and ensure proper storage of ingredients in accordance with safety regulations. Train new staff members on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and service standards. Monitor kitchen cleanliness and organization to uphold health regulations. Serve as a role model for team management and leadership within the kitchen environment. Experience Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced restaurant, fine dining or food service setting. Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry operations. Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing teams in a restaurant or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures. Prior restaurant management experience is preferred but not required. Familiarity with kitchen equipment, menu development, and restaurant service workflows. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards.
