This position is primarily remote, allowing you to conduct therapy sessions through telehealth platforms, while also providing the option to work in our innovative outpatient office when necessary. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to effectively evaluate client needs, formulate clinical diagnoses, and create tailored treatment plans that promote healing and self-discovery.

• Deliver high-quality individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness techniques.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention to clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and facilitating access to emergency resources when necessary.

• Maintain precise documentation of client interactions, including treatment plans and progress notes, in adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists, to coordinate comprehensive care and optimize client outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health concepts, available treatment avenues, and community support resources.

• Engage in lifelong learning through workshops, training sessions, and continuing education opportunities to stay current with advancements in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily involve engaging with individuals facing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related symptoms, and relationship concerns. You will have the opportunity to work with a rich tapestry of clients, from young adults to older adults, and create meaningful, trusting relationships that facilitate their growth and healing journey.

Qualifications\n

• A current license as a Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LPC, LCSW) in Virginia is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required; advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are highly preferred.

• Demonstrated clinical assessment and diagnostic expertise with a strong foundation in mental health treatment.

• At least two years of relevant experience in a clinical or therapeutic setting.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

Mind and Behaviour Counseling Center offers a competitive salary in the range of USD 85,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
