Job Details Level: Experienced Job Location: Earth Fare Columbia - Columbia, SC 29205 Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: $16.00 - $22.00 Hourly Job Category: Grocery Kitchen Lead Staff Development: Supports Team Lead in coaching, training, and developing Team Members in the Prepared Foods Department. Maintains a positive and professional work environment. Clearly defines and communicates expectations through punch lists and communication logs. Production: Supervises and participates in the production of in‑house prepared foods, ensuring proper presentation and display of high‑quality, pre‑made items. Maintains consistent quality control standards. Operational Tasks: Responsible for ordering and receiving deliveries; scheduling; reviewing daily and weekly sales and movement reports, shrink reports, and emails; responding accordingly; and conducting monthly department inventory. Merchandising: Develops and maintains an attractive sales floor by implementing Earth Fare merchandising guidelines and standards. Department Conditions: Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of the department, including all fixtures, storage areas, work stations, freezers, and coolers. Required Knowledge and Experience Experience: Previous experience in prepared foods, kitchen operations, or food service required; leadership or lead experience preferred. Knowledge: Understanding of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures. Skills: Strong communication, organization, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced environment. Leadership Attributes: Ability to coach, train, and positively influence Team Members while maintaining accountability. Commitment to Values: Passion for natural and organic foods and alignment with Earth Fare’s mission and values. Physical Demands Lifting: Up to 50 pounds. Reaching: Frequent reaching at and above shoulder level and below waist level. Standing: Prolonged periods during food preparation and service. Pulling/Pushing: Moderate; maneuvering carts, racks, and equipment as needed. Works in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented kitchen and retail environment.
