Step into a pivotal role in a vibrant elementary school environment, where your expertise as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or CSN student will make a daily impact. This contract opportunity runs from ASAP through May 28, 2027, with consistent weekday hours of 8:25 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. You’ll be at the heart of a busy, supportive school in the greater Naperville/Romeoville area, taking the lead in managing the health office, conducting medical reviews, and supporting students’ daily health needs.

Your collaboration with a dedicated team, including administrators, office staff, and specialized program nurses, ensures that each child receives personalized and continuous care. Your ability to maintain meticulous electronic health records and contribute to IEP/504 processes will be key. Flexibility, tech savvy, and a proactive, team-oriented approach will set you up for success.

What we’re looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) with PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse required
• Enrollment in, or completion of, CSN coursework (not an RN, LPN, or CNA position)
• Previous CSN or in-school nursing experience highly valued
• Strong technology skills and experience with electronic health records
• Dependability and commitment to consistent attendance
• Ability to support students with personal care on occasion
• Effective communicator who thrives on collaboration
• Bilingual Spanish proficiency is a significant plus

Key responsibilities:

• Manage the school health office
• Conduct medical reviews and maintain electronic records
• Actively participate in IEP and 504 processes
• Provide day-to-day student health support, including occasional personal care assistance
• Collaborate closely with office staff and administrators
