Seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable Certified School Nurse (CSN) or CSN student dedicated to supporting a busy elementary school community. This position is for a contract role running through the end of the school year, with the potential to make a significant impact on students’ daily experiences in a collaborative environment.

You will manage the school’s health office, perform comprehensive medical reviews, and provide vital support for students with diverse health needs, including those who may require personal care assistance. Your role will also include contributing to IEP and 504 Plan processes in close partnership with educators and special services staff. This is a highly valued, integral position—not simply a routine nursing role—focused on student well-being and health advocacy within the school setting.

Key qualifications:

• Bachelor’s in Nursing (BSN) and Professional Educator License (PEL) with Certified School Nurse endorsement (not just RN/LPN)
• Current enrollment in CSN program considered
• Comfortable with electronic health records and related technology; experience a strong plus
• Experience working with IEPs/504 Plans preferred
• Flexible, reliable, and demonstrates strong teamwork skills
• Willingness to assist students with personal care needs when necessary
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish highly desirable

Core responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations of the health office
• Conduct medical reviews and manage health records electronically
• Participate in eligibility meetings, planning, and documentation for IEP and 504 Plans
• Deliver appropriate first aid and health interventions
• Collaborate proactively with school staff, students, and families
• Attend consistently and contribute to the positive school culture
