This position is suited for clinicians passionate about school nursing and dedicated to supporting young learners. You’ll work closely with educators and administrators to promote a healthy school environment, helping students access care so they can thrive both academically and personally.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to middle school students, including medication administration, first aid, and management of chronic health conditions
• Perform health screenings and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized health care plans in collaboration with school staff and families
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records in compliance with state and federal regulations
• Serve as a health resource to faculty, students, and families
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and coordinate with outside healthcare providers if necessary
• Promote health education and wellness initiatives across the school community

Desired Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Prior experience as a school nurse is required
• Strong assessment skills and ability to respond quickly in emergencies
• Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Must provide current RN license and updated resume with application
