Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.

• Develop individualized treatment plans, collaboratively with clients, that specifically target their needs and goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders and provide guidance on effective self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on their evolving needs.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes.

• Stay informed on the latest research regarding mood disorder treatments and maintain professional development through workshops and training.
\n
• Document all client interactions accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and foster a collaborative atmosphere.

• Advocate for clients and contribute to efforts that aim to reduce the stigma around mental health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your focus will be on individuals grappling with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder, as well as anxiety-related conditions. This role requires building relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds, understanding their unique experiences, and delivering tailored, culturally competent care to promote their emotional wellness.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.

• Current and valid licensure in California as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT is required.

• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methods, specifically CBT and DBT for mood disorders.

• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to collaborate with psychiatrists effectively.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to foster relationships built on trust and respect.
