About the Role We are seeking a tech-savvy Air Freight Operations Supervisor who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment. This role is ideal for a professional who has worked closely with small to mid-sized freight forwarders, understands the challenges of a fast-paced logistics environment, and has a proven track record of leading, mentoring, and developing teams. The ideal candidate combines deep air freight expertise with strong leadership skills and the ability to build relationships with carriers, partners, and customers while driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise daily air freight pricing and operations activities Develop competitive air freight pricing solutions for customers and overseas partners Negotiate rates and service agreements with airlines, consolidators, and logistics partners Prepare accurate and timely quotations based on market conditions, capacity, and customer requirements Support business development efforts by providing strategic pricing recommendations and customized solutions Oversee shipment execution from quote through booking and final delivery Ensure operational compliance with customer requirements, airline regulations, and company procedures Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, agents, customers, and service providers Analyze market trends, carrier performance, and capacity changes to maintain competitive pricing strategies Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, service levels, and profitability Mentor, train, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture Conduct performance coaching, onboarding, and ongoing training for operations and pricing staff Serve as an escalation point for complex customer, carrier, and operational issues Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of air freight forwarding experience, with a strong focus on pricing, quoting, and operations Experience working with small to medium-sized freight forwarders Minimum 3 years of supervisory, leadership, training, or team management experience Strong understanding of air freight pricing structures, airline contracts, routing, capacity management, and market dynamics Proven experience negotiating rates with airlines, GSAs, and logistics providers Demonstrated success mentoring, coaching, and developing team members Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance customer needs, operational requirements, and profitability Excellent communication, relationship-building, and customer service skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Proficiency with freight forwarding systems, transportation management platforms, and Microsoft Office applications Why Join Us Opportunity to play a key leadership role within a growing and innovative organization High visibility and direct impact on pricing strategy, customer success, and operational performance Collaborative environment that values leadership, initiative, and continuous improvement Career growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding logistics organization Competitive compensation and benefits package This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned air freight professional who enjoys pricing and quoting strategy, developing people, and helping drive the growth of a dynamic freight forwarding operation. #J-18808-Ljbffr Talmo & Associates
