Part Time Bookkeeper

Part-Time Bookkeeper Location: Central New Jersey (Middlesex & Monmouth County Area) Work Arrangement: Contract-to-Hire | Approximately 20 Hours per Week | Flexible Hours Responsibilities Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records Perform bank and account reconciliations Assist with month-end close activities Support payroll processing and related reporting Post and track incoming revenue and donations Maintain organized financial records and documentation Assist with audit preparation and supporting schedules Support grant file management and administrative tracking Collaborate with internal staff and external vendors Provide additional accounting and administrative support as needed Qualifications 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience Strong experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance Proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with accounting software systems Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Nonprofit experience is a plus, but not required Schedule Approximately 20 hours per week Flexible scheduling options available Open to a variety of arrangements, including partial days, full days, or a customized schedule Compensation $27-$30/hour Why Consider This Opportunity?
