Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students’ growth and mobility within a dynamic educational environment near Wilmington, DE. This role blends onsite school-based therapy with the meaningful addition of assisting homebound students, offering the chance to make a direct and lasting impact across diverse settings.

The primary assignment runs from August 25, 2026, through June 8, 2027, with flexibility for either full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time scheduling. During the week, you’ll collaborate with school teams, deliver individualized therapy, and provide crucial support for students with unique needs—whether on campus or in a home setting.

What you’ll bring:

  • Valid Delaware Physical Therapist license
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based therapy (preferred)
  • Flexibility to travel locally to various sites or homes as needed
  • Ability to manage a changing caseload throughout the school year
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner with educators, families, and support staff
  • Dedication to fostering positive, inclusive learning environments for all students

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing physical therapy assessments and interventions for students with varying medical needs
  • Developing and updating individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
  • Supporting homebound students with tailored therapeutic services
  • Adapting strategies to accommodate each student’s evolving requirements
  • Documenting progress and maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines
