Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bear, DE

Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in an educational setting near Bear, DE. This position offers valuable experience working both onsite in a school building and providing essential therapy to students who are medically homebound. The assignment runs from late August through early June, with flexible full-time or part-time schedules available to accommodate your professional needs.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Delaware Occupational Therapist license (must provide for consideration)
School-based occupational therapy experience preferred
Ability to work onsite and travel to homebound student locations as needed
Strong communication and organizational skills
Compassion and adaptability to manage fluctuating caseloads throughout the school year

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to K-12 students, both in school and at homebound locations
Assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to facilitate student progress
Document and track therapeutic interventions in compliance with school and state guidelines
Support homebound students with creative solutions and therapeutic techniques within their environment
Have the flexibility to adapt to changing caseload demands throughout the year
