Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, you will:

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' specific needs and goals, focusing on pain relief, restoring motor function, and maximizing independence.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of clients' physical abilities through diagnostic and functional assessments.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants in the execution of treatment plans, ensuring the highest level of care is maintained.
• Administer therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like traction and massage, adjusting techniques as needed based on patient response.
• Evaluate and recommend orthotic and prosthetic devices, working closely with other healthcare professionals in modifying treatment plans as necessary.
• Document patient progress meticulously through clinical records that include evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, ensuring that all documentation meets regulatory standards.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences, collaborating with colleagues to assess and refine comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Guide and educate patients and their families on physical therapy modalities, enhancing their ability to engage actively in recovery.
• Remain accessible to supervise Physical Therapy Assistants during treatment sessions and be a primary resource for patient-related inquiries.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Physical Therapists serve a diverse client population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. You will be integral in facilitating rehabilitation for both young and elderly patients, ultimately focusing on restoring function and improving their quality of life.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a physical therapy setting.
• Current CPR certification.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance for potential home health visits.
• A strong commitment to clinical excellence, integrity, and ongoing professional development.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in home health care settings or rehabilitation therapy will be viewed favorably. Additionally, proficiency in using electronic medical record systems is advantageous for timely and efficient documentation practices.

Compensation and Benefits
