Senior DevOps Engineer II - Platform & Full Stack Engineering

Senior DevOps Engineer II at AbbVie designs and optimizes CI/CD pipelines and full-stack applications for regulated pharmaceutical environments. The role combines platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and AI-assisted development capabilities to enable scalable, compliant software delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate CI/CD pipelines and automated workflows for reliable build, test, and deployment
- Develop full-stack solutions including backend services and frontend components
- Integrate and standardize toolchains across the software development lifecycle with security scanning
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize pipeline and application performance using observability tools
- Support governance, traceability, and validation practices for AI-assisted development in regulated environments
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Computer Science with 7+ years' experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 2+ years
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools and agentic workflows
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines in cloud or hybrid environments
- Strong backend programming and frontend framework familiarity
- Demonstrated expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and Git-based workflows
- Understanding of SDLC practices, traceability, and validation in regulated settings
- Excellent communication and detail-oriented approach to technical problem-solving
