Compensation: $25-$30/hour, depending on experience


Hours: Full-time or part-time; flexible based on candidate availability

Company Overview


A small, established U.S. subsidiary of a Japanese company serving industrial and semiconductor-related markets is seeking an Accounting Assistant due to an upcoming employee departure. The organization offers a collaborative environment where employees support a variety of accounting and administrative functions.


Position Summary


The Accounting Assistant will support daily accounting, bookkeeping, and general administrative activities. The company is flexible regarding experience level and working hours, and both full-time and part-time candidates will be considered . Responsibilities may be adjusted based on the selected candidate's experience and capabilities.


Key Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
• Maintain and update accounting records using QuickBooks .
• Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks.
• Use Asana to manage tasks and workflows.
• Coordinate with management and other team members as needed.
• Support additional accounting and administrative responsibilities based on experience.
• Occasionally visit the company's warehouse facility near SFO as business needs require.

Qualifications


Required:

• English communication skills.
• Basic accounting/bookkeeping knowledge or related experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a small-company environment.
• Ability to commute to the San Ramon office approximately twice per week.
• Ability to drive to a warehouse facility near SFO occasionally as needed.

Preferred:

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, or Accounting Assistant experience.
• QuickBooks experience.
• Japanese and/or Chinese language ability.
• Experience working in a small business or Japanese-affiliated company.
• Familiarity with Asana or similar task-management tools.

Other Details

• Hybrid schedule with approximately 2 days per week in the San Ramon office .
• Full-time and part-time schedules can be considered.
• Company laptop provided.
• Occasional travel to a warehouse facility near SFO may be required.
