Work Environment

You will work onsite at our Assisted Living Facility in Brooklyn, a community-centered environment rich with potential for impactful patient interactions. Collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals, you will be supported by a comprehensive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care in a state-of-the-art facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients, obtaining detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations to delineate pain management needs and develop effective treatment strategies.
• Treatment Planning and Implementation: Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to formulate and execute individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy, and minimally invasive procedures designed to address patients’ unique pain issues.
• Procedural Assistance: Provide critical support during interventional pain procedures. This includes assisting physicians in injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive interventions, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout each procedure.
• Patient Education and Follow-Up: Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care practices, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their healthcare journey. Conduct follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of treatments and make necessary adjustments to care plans.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary patients will include individuals residing in the assisted living facility, many of whom face chronic pain due to various medical conditions. Understanding their specific pain management needs and constructing personalized approaches to treatment will be vital to enhancing their overall health and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management is highly preferred.
• Previous orthopedic or surgical experience will be advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience in an outpatient practice setting as a Nurse Practitioner is desired.

Compensation and Benefits

The Nurse Practitioner role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
