Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments, gathering comprehensive health histories and performing detailed physical examinations to inform treatment plans.
• Develop and prescribe individualized pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for both chronic and acute pain, ensuring a holistic approach to pain management.
• Educate patients about their treatment goals, therapeutic regimens, and potential side effects, fostering a culture of compliance and active participation in their care.
• Monitor and manage the care of individuals dealing with chronic pain, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare colleagues to determine and refine appropriate treatment plans, engaging in regular discussions about patient progress and care adjustments.
• Utilize Prescription Monitoring Programs (PMP) to safeguard patient safety during medication management.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) from a recognized and accredited nursing program.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State or equivalent jurisdiction required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
• Exceptional clinical assessment and diagnostic skills, enabling you to develop effective treatment plans.
• Proficient in the creation and implementation of comprehensive pain management plans.

Preferred Experience
