Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnoses of acute and chronic pain conditions in patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that may include pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests to inform clinical decision-making and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Prescribe medications according to best practices while considering drug interactions and patient history.
• Utilize collaborative care models by working closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and pain specialists to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, pain management strategies, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical documentation to ensure continuity of care.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient satisfaction and care efficacy.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in pain management and legislative changes that may affect practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients who reside in an assisted living facility, catering to a diverse population that includes elderly individuals suffering from chronic pain, post-surgical patients, and those with degenerative conditions. You will provide holistic care tailored to the unique needs of each patient, fostering an environment of trust and understanding that promotes better health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a focus in pain management or a related specialty.
• Active New York state nursing license with prescriptive privileges.
• A Bachelor’s degree in nursing; a Master’s degree in nursing is preferred.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in pain management or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits

The Re-Generation Pain Management Clinic offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $220,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
