Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and physical examinations of patients presenting with pain-related issues, documenting findings clearly and accurately.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, clinical protocols, and healthcare team input, ensuring therapeutic goals are met.
• Prescribe medications and other therapeutic interventions, ensuring that patients and their families fully understand the treatment process and associated side effects.
• Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to formulate and refine treatment strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to pain management.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans in consultation with supervising physicians as appropriate.
• Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain up-to-date patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations, contributing to a comprehensive Medical Records system.
• To stay abreast of developments in pain management, participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

This role will primarily focus on a diverse patient population experiencing a range of pain syndromes. You will often engage with individuals who have chronic illnesses, neurological disorders, or post-surgical complications, necessitating personalized care and sensitivity to their unique circumstances. Qualifications

• Education: A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• Licensure: Candidates must possess an active New York State licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience is required, particularly in a pain management, orthopedic, or rehabilitation setting.
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational skills, and patient-centered care focus are crucial for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
