Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Pain Management, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients presenting with chronic pain conditions.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.
• Managing medication regimens, including the prescription of appropriate pain management agents while closely monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
• Providing patient education and counseling to empower patients in understanding their conditions and treatment options.
• Facilitating follow-up care and monitoring patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, including physical therapists, psychologists, and interventional pain specialists to provide a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adults suffering from varying degrees of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to arthritis, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. Our goal is to provide holistic care that addresses not only the physical aspects of pain but also the psychological and social factors that may be contributing to the patients' overall wellbeing. Qualifications

We require candidates to meet the following qualifications:

• A valid Nurse Practitioner certification, along with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York.

Preferred Experience

A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, specifically in pain management or a related field, is strongly preferred.
