Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our vibrant hospital facility in Long Beach, an area renowned for its commitment to health and wellness. Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, requiring approximately 40 hours of commitment each week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and obtain detailed patient medical histories to inform diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage both acute and chronic pain conditions, utilizing evidence-based protocols.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate patient preferences, lifestyle factors, and state-of-the-art pain management techniques.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory results, to inform treatment decisions.
• Educate patients on disease prevention and management strategies, helping them understand their conditions and the importance of adherence to treatment.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, and pain management specialists, to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with patients of all ages and backgrounds, providing empathetic, culturally competent care while supporting them in navigating their treatment options.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing with a focus on Nurse Practitioner studies.
• Current Registered Nurse Licensure in New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience specifically related to pain management or comprehensive physical examinations.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• Strong clinical skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and families.
• Exceptional organization skills with a focus on working both independently and as part of a dynamic healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a hospital or pain management clinic setting.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, particularly in documenting patient interactions and treatment plans.
• Expertise in conducting assessments and interpreting diagnostic imaging related to pain conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $160,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a robust benefits package.
