Work Environment

The Family Nurse Practitioner will operate in our vibrant outpatient office located in Long Beach, NY. Our team-oriented clinic fosters a collaborative atmosphere, where you will work closely with other healthcare professionals—including physicians, nurses, and support staff—to deliver exceptional patient care. The clinic operates primarily during weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with some evening clinics extending to 8:00 p.m. Participation in weekend community outreach events or health fairs may also be required, ensuring you can engage with the community beyond the clinic walls.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough health assessments and screenings for patients of all ages, taking the time to understand their medical histories, lifestyle, and personal health goals.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute and chronic medical conditions, including providing preventative care and promoting health education tailored to individual needs.
• Collaborate with community organizations and health stakeholders to develop impactful health education programs that address local health issues.
• Advocate for patients' rights and access to healthcare services, ensuring that care is culturally sensitive and equitable.
• Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care to guarantee continuity and comprehensiveness of care.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner certification and an active nursing license in the state of New York.

Compensation and Benefits

The offered salary for this position ranges between $180,000 and $200,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
