Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and comprehensive physical examinations to assess patient conditions accurately.
• Diagnose and manage both common acute and chronic health conditions, utilizing evidence-based guidelines.
• Order, perform, and interpret a range of diagnostic tests, including medical imaging and laboratory work, to inform treatment decisions.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate a patient's specific needs and preferences, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Administer medications and other treatments in accordance with established protocols and documentation practices.
• Maintain meticulous and accurate medical records, employing ICD-10 coding to facilitate billing and continuity of care.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and optimize patients' health outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention techniques, health maintenance strategies, and management of their conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Nurse Practitioner in our urgent care setting, you will engage with a diverse patient demographic, including children, adults, and the elderly. The typical patient scenarios you may encounter include non-life-threatening conditions that require immediate attention, such as sprains, minor fractures, respiratory infections, and other acute illnesses. Your role will involve not only treating these conditions but also guiding patients toward appropriate follow-up care to promote long-term health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• A valid Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure to practice.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in urgent care, family medicine, or a related field.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records systems, such as Cerner.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in cardiology, pediatrics, or geriatrics is highly valued.
• Ability to perform specialized procedures, including botulinum toxin treatments, is a plus.
• Knowledge of advanced clinical practices within an urgent care context, particularly in trauma and acute care.

Compensation and Benefits
