Work Environment

This role is located onsite at our clinic in Mount Vernon, where you will work closely with a collaborative team of healthcare professionals. Our setting allows for a dynamic day-to-day experience in which you will conduct house calls and maintain an interactive relationship with patients. The typical work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including obtaining medical histories and performing physical examinations for patients assigned by the supervising physician.
• Independently manage follow-up visits while adhering to organizational protocols and patient safety guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records at every appointment, ensuring all test results and treatment plans are documented accordingly.
• Utilize diagnostic data to evaluate patients' progress and determine necessary modifications to care plans or treatments.
• Work closely with the supervising physician to develop comprehensive medical care plans, making informed recommendations for treatment options.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment, continuously evaluating their medical needs and adjusting care plans as required.
• Educate and provide patients and their families with ongoing information and support related to their care journey, enhancing their understanding of their health conditions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our Pain Management Center caters to a diverse range of patients dealing with various chronic pain conditions. You will engage with patients to not only manage their pain but also help them navigate the complexities of their treatment journeys. We emphasize a holistic approach, focusing on both physical and emotional well-being.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Active and valid Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of New York.
• Exceptional clinical skills and a strong foundation in physical examinations, with at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, particularly within pain management.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team, showcasing excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with a specialized background in pain management, including experience in advanced treatment modalities and familiarity with the latest developments in this field. Knowledge of integrated therapeutic techniques and patient education tools will also be an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits
