Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients experiencing pain through detailed medical histories and physical examinations. This includes determining appropriate pain management strategies tailored to each patient's unique needs.

• Treatment Planning and Implementation: Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to formulate and implement individualized treatment plans. These plans may encompass a variety of interventions, such as medication management, physical therapy, and minimally invasive procedures to effectively address pain issues.

• Procedural Assistance: Provide essential assistance during interventional pain management procedures. Support physicians in performing injections, nerve blocks, and other minimally invasive interventions, ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout each process.

• Patient Education and Follow-up: Educate patients about their pain conditions, available treatment options, and essential self-care practices. Conduct follow-up assessments to monitor treatment efficacy, make necessary adjustments, and provide ongoing support to foster patient engagement in their health journey.

The patients you will serve include diverse individuals dealing with various pain-related conditions, ranging from acute injuries to chronic pain syndromes. Qualifications

• Eligibility for licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State is mandatory.

• Experience working in an outpatient setting as a Nurse Practitioner is also greatly valued.
