The District Manager oversees multiple Leslie's stores to ensure they consistently meet or exceed customer service standards, sales goals, profitability targets, operational procedures, and merchandising objectives. This role is responsible for driving district sales growth, managing profit margins, controlling payroll, and overseeing all controllable expenses. The District Manager ensures the effective implementation of all company programs, develops General Managers, and sets the standard for delivering excellent customer service and creating a great workplace through leadership by example. This role is responsible for driving district sales growth, managing profit margins, controlling payroll, and overseeing all controllable expenses. The District Manager ensures the effective implementation of all company programs, develops General Managers, and sets the standard for delivering excellent customer service and creating a great workplace through leadership by example. Responsibilities:
- Ensure all new team members are proficient and fully trained in required programs within 180 days of onboarding
- Drive district stores to meet or exceed budgeted sales goals
- Increase water test conversions and prescription sales penetration
- Achieve targets for conversion, units per transaction (UPT), and average ticket size (ATS), and implement action plans where improvement is needed
- Manage controllable expenses to maximize profitability
- Grow customer count through training, coaching, and adherence to service standards
- Develop and mentor General Managers to ensure strong leadership and team performance across the district
- 3-5 years of field experience in a multi-unit retail environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Proven leadership skills with excellent references from supervisors, peers, and direct reports
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to relocate is helpful but not required
