Head Cook Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Head Cook to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage food temperature and inventory stock;
- Walk;
- Stand in one place for extended periods of time;
- Talk and hear;
- Reach with hands and arms; Use repetitive motion with hands and arms;
- Close vision, have eye-hand coordination and peripheral vision;
- Clean all pots and pans used during shift;
- Memorize our serving portion and our basic meal prep procedures;
- Ensure kitchen and food prep area meet restaurant cleaning standards;
- Direct food processing and handling (fish);
- Direct kitchen in daily tasks;
- keep rotating stock and help with prep when needed;
- food inventories and preap;
- Maintain food quality and presentation;
- Prepare basic components of each dish on our menu using out proven recipes.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail;
- Ability to listen and communicate effectively;
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils;
- Proven working experience as a head cook;
- 3 years cooking experience;
- Pizza experience;
- Experienced in Italian Pasta, Salads and Sandwiches. We will train you on Pizza;
- Comfortable working with a team in fast paced environment;
- Ability to work on your feet for 8 hours or more/day;
- Bilingual in English and Spanish;
- Proven working experience as a head cook (bonus for egg experience).
