Responsibilities:

  • Incorporating intellectual property opportunities where possible and allowable;
  • Supporting quality by evaluating field returns to establish root cause;
  • Experience with additional CAD programs (UG NX, PTC CREO, SolidWorks) a plus;
  • Improve profitability through automation integration and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, materials & practices;
  • Experience using Composites workbench (CPD) for CATIA V5;
  • Designing custom digital IPs if necessary;
  • Incorporate innovative material designs, manufacturing technologies and DFM practices into cutting edge aerospace electrical connector designs;
  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, self-directed environment;
  • Maintains current knowledge of profession through peer association, attendance at seminars, meetings, and other events;
  • Modification and evaluation of semiconductor devices and components,
  • Performs other duties as directed by the City Engineer or his/her designee per the Division’s Organization Chart;
  • Organize multiple data sets and convert data to meaningful reports;
  • Translate complex problems, customer needs, and business objectives into actionable design goals;
  • Device evaluation and characterization,
  • Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education and judgement.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with the use of AutoCAD to assist in the production of site plan drawings;
  • Grading and drainage design skills;
  • Solid Communication Skills;
  • Experience using Composites workbench (CPD) for CATIA V5;
  • Experience selecting processing & plating of plastics;
  • BS or MS Engineering degree in Design, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent degree;
  • Fluent GD&T understanding and ability to apply appropriate tolerances to machined metal components;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, Project & Publisher;
  • Control Panel equipment and design;
  • Process Instrumentation (Level, Flow, and Analytical);
  • Must have 5 years of post-graduate professional engineering experience;
  • Detail-oriented practices with pragmatic views towards shipping;
  • Passion for cooking and cooking science;
  • A sense of urgency and ownership over the things you work on;
  • Knowledge of SyteLine or similar systems is a plus.
