The Senior Manufacturing Engineer analyzes assembly, fabrication, machining, and other processes. Plans and designs manufacturing processes for a production facility. Being a Senior Manufacturing Engineer determines the parts, equipment, tools, and processes needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications. Maximizes efficiency by optimization of layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods, and work force utilization. Responsibilities:

  • Conducting feasibility study to estimate product cost and analyze capital equipment, capacity, and capability requirements;
  • Participate in Kaizen events to improve quality and/or efficiency of existing processes;
  • Determine automation process engagement based off ROI with consideration to: low to high complexity & low to high volume product lines;
  • Modify preventive maintenance activities to ensure operational readiness of plant equipment and optimize production efficiencies;
  • Exemplary written and oral communication skills;
  • Provides project team input on system capabilities and assist teams with system design decisions;
  • Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations;

Requirements:

  • Knowledge in Lean Principles and or Six Sigma or other problem solving methodology is preferred;
  • Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering is preferred;
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university;
  • 5 to 10 years related experience in a similar environment; experience with cast iron machining strongly preferred;
