Our company is looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Software: Model structures in engineering software as necessary to accomplish the work above;
  • Organizes and maintains project files;
  • Engineering calculation preparation, applications of engineering methods and application of technology aided engineering tools;
  • Structural engineering design, analysis, principles, design guides and appropriate standards, building codes and technical specifications;
  • Design and load rating analysis of new structures, replacement structures, or rehabilitated structures;
  • Review supplier drawing submittals, respond to field requests for information;
  • Use of advanced bridge analysis/design software including AASHTOWare, SAP2000, LEAP Products, MDX, etc;
  • Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing issues and issues with steel structures in real world applications;
  • Develop structural design criteria for projects;
  • Conducting engineering investigations including feasibility studies, cost and risk analyses;
  • Travel to supplier, client, or construction site locations to inspect various facets of work;
  • Research and prepare detailed back up information for construction cost estimates;
  • Serve as a project manager on smaller projects that may include;
  • Provide Primary and Secondary Structures Design and Analysis;
  • Completion of site inspections and condition assessments for mining infrastructure.

Requirements:

  • Qualified candidate must have at a minimum a Civil/Structural Engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment;
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills;
  • Have the ability to obtain professional engineering registration in several states;
  • Relevant Degree with PE;
  • Ability to use technology to work with others on the design team that may be located in other offices;
  • Ability to lead teams in a collaborative environment;
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a structural engineer;
  • Proficient with Autodesk AutoCAD for drawing set preparation;
  • Desire to learn new skills;
  • Registered with a relevant professional association is an asset;
  • Related post-secondary education;
  • M.S. or B.S. degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
  • MS degree in Structural Engineering;
  • Civil/Structural or related Engineering degree from an accredited institution,
