The Instructional Designer – Senior develops and updates course content and coordinates learning curriculum to reflect learning needs. Designs training programs, including classroom lectures, online courses, and self-study sessions, directed at employees, organization members, or those who use the organization’s products or services. Being an Instructional Designer – Senior may design computer-based training course. Conducts assessment and analysis to identify new development needs and recommends training methods accordingly. In addition, Instructional Designer – Senior may accelerate training during introduction of the new curriculum. Requires a bachelor’s degree. Typically reports to a Manager. Being an Instructional Designer – Senior contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Our company is looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective day-to-day operational support for global IAM solutions;
  • Provide technical expertise and direction in the areas of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions;
  • Build and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, including software developers and business representatives with access control issues;
  • Visualize instructional graphics, the user interface and the finished product;
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them;
  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the learning process;
  • Develop and maintain instructional design / instructional media skills and knowledge;
  • Manage stakeholders and subject matter experts in the content development process, ensuring alignment, engagement and expectation management;
  • Develop training plans, design documents, and analysis documentation;
  • Select, modify, or create a design and development model appropriate for a given project;
  • Designs and develops learning curriculum using various delivery modes (eLearning, performance support tools, webinars, videos, etc.) ;
  • Select and use a variety of techniques to define and sequence the instructional content and strategies;

  • Maintain , audit and update content as business needs dictate;
  • Serve as a thought leader and subject matter expert in learning experience design.

Requirements:

  • Able to travel up to 25% as needed;
  • Experience with enterprise learning technologies (i.e. Articulate Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Captivate, etc.);
  • You bring strong attention to detail, organizational skills, presentation skills, curiosity and creativity to the work that you do;
  • Design a field-specific orientation in collaboration with Supply Chain, Human Resources, and IT teams;
  • Reviews the program for effectiveness, considers industry trends and recommends enhancements; makes changes as required;
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating content outlines, storyboards and self-paced training modules required;
  • A bility to design systems to measure the impact learning interventions and processes;
  • Strong knowledge of web development processes and familiarity with authoring tools – In-depth;
  • Strong consulting, and facilitation skills;
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to assigned business/group;
  • Work with a cross-functional teams to determine the scope, requirements, and timeline for a given project/course;
  • Recommends and implements solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business;
  • Writes, storyboards & edits learning and performance support interventions;
  • Works independently and regularly handles non-routine situations;
  • Adult Learning accreditation (e.g., CSTD/ATD/Other).
