UX Product Designer Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a UX Product Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Evolving and evangelizing our Design System;
- Learn and balance user and business goals to achieve desirable, viable, and feasible solutions;
- Design / Redesign enterprise applications and other areas of the site as needed;
- Create design solutions that remain user-centric when technical limitations occur during implementation;
- Review site test results and identify areas of improvement over current iteration of the design;
- Mentor junior to mid-level members of the team;
- Make strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new functions and features;
- Conduct and apply user research to design iterations;
- Collaborate with other team members, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to improve feature designs;
- Take a user-centered approach to design process and methods;
- Lead the design process from problem discovery, framing, ideation, iterative development, delivery, and maintenance;
- Translate analysis of data into design improvements;
- Advocate for customers, users and partners;
- Hypothesize new functionality ideas and apply industry knowledge of usability principles to create concepts;
- Develop conceptual and engaging diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups and prototypes.
Requirements:
- Ability to iterate on a single design within an agile framework;
- 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3+ years with a Master’s degree;
- Strong awareness of common usability methods and principles;
- Startup experience preferred, small team big picture;
- 2-5 years experience in field;
- Empathy for users;
- Portfolio demonstrating your work experience and relevant, user-centered design solutions;
- Desire to improve and willing to ask fo r feedback often;
- A clean sense of design aesthetics, and a natural inclination towards simplification over complication;
- Portfolio required;
- Familiarity with Sketch, Invision, and Adobe Suite;
- Ability to manage concurrent projects;
- Experience with designing mobile and responsive products, and emails;
- Mission-driven, positive attitude, and self directed.
