Our company is looking for a Development Project Manager to join our team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Segment Leader with assignment of staff and other resources;
  • Provide and review specifications and other reports or studies issued to the client;
  • Assemble project design teams including bidding, interviewing and contracting;
  • Enforce project QA/QC standards;
  • Assists project team staff with A/E contracts, bid and contract planning;
  • Review work for accuracy and quality;
  • Develop task list for each level of personnel on the project;
  • Hold monthly project manager meetings and report on general status of the project;
  • Resolves complex planning, design and construction project-related issues, disputes and disagreements;
  • Assist in collection of past due accounts receivable;
  • Adhere to firms established Project Management principles;
  • Hire and oversee third-party managers to implement Abacus’s lease-up strategy;
  • Develops and recommends internal policies and procedures;
  • Review staff time sheets and expense reports;
  • Review monthly draw requests and work with accounting and lenders to facilitate draw funding.

Requirements:

  • Ability to manage a sizeable development team of internal and external contributors;
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with a passion for real estate development;
  • Ability to handle multiple projects through the consistent completion of tasks with established deadlines;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and MS Project;
  • Ability to write clear and concise communications;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel;
  • Ability to run meetings, set agendas and issue meeting minutes;
  • The ability to present to a group either internally or before investors;
  • Proficiency in RealPage, Procore, Microsoft Planner and Teams a plus;
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25%+ of the time;
  • Undergraduate degree or MBA with 5+ to 7 years of direct real estate experience seeking a growth opportunity.
