Functional Business Analyst Job Description Template
Our company is looking for a Functional Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- provide business and technical expertise to management and stakeholders;
- facilitate planning, set direction, define business initiatives, and develop solutions to business information systems needs and requirements;
- ensure monitoring of environments is conducted to provide maximum uptime;
- research, propose, design, plan, and implement IT solutions;
- coordinate lower environment configuration, deployment and testing activities required to provide a stable test platform;
- ensure capacity planning and continual performance improvement of technologies and infrastructure that support application environments;
- Collaborate with the developers on the technical design of the system to follow-up of the implementation of the solution;
- Perform detailed functional analysis including defining the user interface (screens, click-model);
- Determine the most optimized solution and assess the IT impact of the requested change;
- Write and maintain test scenarios for the functional testing of the application.
Requirements:
- Languages: Good knowledge of Dutch or French with working knowledge of the other language, professional working knowledge of English;
- Experience in using IT requirements methodologies, tools and notations (UML, BPM, Unified Process Modelling, ERD…);
- Experience in working with relational databases and testing tools;
- Knowledge of SOA architectures is a plus.
